NDIS Services
The National Disability Insurance scheme provides support to people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability.
Range Allied Health can help you at every stage of your NDIS journey.
Our team works in partnership with the person with a disability, their family and other important people in their life such as their GP, other health professionals or teachers to ensure a co-ordinated approach which supports the individual’s goals.
If you are under the age of 65 and have a disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities, you may be eligible for the NDIS. Complete the NDIS Access Checklist to determine if you may be eligible, or contact us for more information.
We can:
Assist you to complete the NDIS Access Request Form by completing a functional assessment and obtaining information from other service providers about your disability
Complete a functional assessment to identify your support needs
Complete an Assistive Technology assessment and trial equipment designed to support your function
Assess your ability to work and develop an individualised Ready to Work plan designed to find you sustainable work that you enjoy
Provide counselling services to facilitate emotional acceptance and growth, and assist you to work towards your personal goals.
Deliver therapy one on one, or in a group setting designed to support you to achieve your goals.
Medicare
Range Allied Health is registered with Medicare. We can see patients who have a chronic medical condition, whose care is co-ordinated by their General Practitioner under a General Practitioner Management Plan (GPMP) or Team Care Arrangement (TCA). Chronic medical conditions are those that have been, or are likely to be, present for at least 6 months.
If you would like to see an Occupational Therapist under Medicare, you can check with your GP if you are eligible for a GPMP, and request a referral for Occupational Therapy.

Services that can be provided under Medicare include:
Assessing and prescribing Assistive Technology including mobility aids, showering equipment and over toilet frames
Daily living skills training and fatigue management
Falls prevention
Pressure injury prevention and management.
Some clients may be eligible for bulk billed Occupational Therapy services. Please contact us for more information.
Aged Care
Range Allied Health provides clients over the age of 65 with Occupational Therapy assessments to determine support needs, and to recommend equipment or home modifications.
My Aged Care (MAC) is the main entry point to government-funded aged care services in Australia. My Aged Care provides information about aged care services to consumers, family members and carers, as well as service providers and health professionals. Services that can be provided under Aged Care include:

Programs
Range Allied Health provides individual and group programs for people with a disability designed to:
Teach daily living skills such as meal preparation and finance/budgeting skills
Promote movement
Prepare clients for the workplace
Provide peer support and an opportunity to build friendships.
We use activities aligned with the participant’s interests to build everyday skills such as planning ahead, decision making and following instructions.
Cultural and language support can be provided for clients from non English speaking backgrounds.
Our program is updated every school term.

Supporting vulnerable people
in our community.
Range Allied Health is passionate about supporting vulnerable people in our community to access the health, disability and education services they need. We frequently assist individuals and community service groups to apply for tenders or other funding opportunities.
